Northeastern Martial Arts

presents… a Karate Seminar with

Master Gary Music

Shurite Kempo for beginners to advanced M/A students!

Shurite Kempo is a highly effective striking art from Okinawa. The primary doctrine of Shurite Kempo is technique based and focuses on protecting oneself from an aggressive unexpected attack. Shurite Kempo is based in the deeper aspects of kata particularly the Naihanchi series of kata.  Class will include instruction in basic Naihanchi Shodan kata, showing a variety of “hidden” bunkai applications and numerous striking, kicking and grappling moves contained in the kata.  Self protection against push, kick, punch and grabs will be practiced with particular attention paid to technique designed to escape attacks.

“Whether you practice Isshin Ryu, Shotokan, Shorin Ryu or any other

martial arts style, this clinic will increase your understanding and skill level!!”

Seminar participants will learn ways to:

v     Increase your speed

v     Strike your opponent so they are completely unable to counter-attack

v     Use multiple strikes and grappling moves from the kata
