Director of AWA AIKI JUJITSU
GRANDMASTER
VIC LOUIS
Picture coming soon.
Mr. Vic Louis is the first one to tell
you NOT to call him grandmaster or master or whatever.. He prefers
Sensei or Mr. Louis which is a true testament to the genuineness of this
martial arts icon. Mr. Lois is a veteran of the martial arts with over
60 years experience. He trained directly under O Sensei Morihei Ueshiba,
Koichi Tohei and Robert A. Trias.
Grandmaster Louis received his first
black belt in the US Marines in 1950 over 58 years ago. He is a 10th Dan
in and head of family of the Hikado Karate Do system and also holds dan
ranks in Aikido, Aiki Jujitsu and Karate and he oversees the ranking
activity of the Shurite Kempo Technique Association. He received
his 9th Dan ten years ago and was recently awarded his 10th Dan in 2008.
Mr. Louis is also currently a registered Private Detective in the state
of Ohio.
One of Mr. Louis' more notable
students is the late Stan Hart, who like Mr. Louis, did much to
proliferate karate and the Okinawan striking arts across the country.
He is a living legend and wealth of
knowledge that everyone in AWA may benefit from.
